The Nici Hotel | New Hotel and Spa Opening in Newquay, Cornwall

Overlooking Great Western Beach, The Nici is one of Cornwall’s most talked-about hotel openings of 2026. Bringing something fresh to Newquay, the hotel combines laid-back luxury with one of the town’s most beautiful coastal settings. The Nici Hotel has recently opened their new spa in Cornwall too.

With 82 rooms, a restaurant and bar, a spa, a cinema, and even more still to come, I think The Nici is a brilliant addition to the town. The interiors feel playful yet luxurious, while the sea views and relaxed atmosphere make it easy to switch off from the moment you arrive.

Throughout the refurbishment, I worked with Ocean Construction to capture their work ~ and it’s safe to say the transformation has been wild. Seeing the hotel come together behind the scenes made staying there feel even more special.

I was lucky enough to spend the night with the other Niki, @nikimaac, despite living only two minutes down the road! It felt like a proper escape, and the terrace and spa were definite highlights. We had such a lovely stay and left feeling completely refreshed.
